Info & Rules
I love getting comments on my blog posts! I read each email personally and add the comments myself to the website. Since this is a very manual system done by me through email however, there is some basic information and rules below that you might want to know about so you don't get confused when trying to submit a comment on one of my blog posts. If you feel like this is too much info or complication just to send a comment, feel free to share your thoughts through a different platform instead, such as my discord! ✯ After filling out your info and writing your comment in the comment box, click the 'Submit' button to submit a new standalone comment, or click the 'Reply' button that is closest to the comment you want to submit a reply to. ✯ When you click the 'Submit' or 'Reply' button on a blog post, a bit of Javascript creates a mailto link, which opens in your email app as an email that has both your message and the necessary code so that, as long as it follows the rules, I can easily copy and paste it and add it to the website. If this code is edited at all (especially if changed to malicious code), your comment will not be added to the website. All you need to do is click send on your email app! ✯ Comments that don't use the comment box (and perhaps just have words emailed to me instead of the words and code generated by using the comment box) will not be added to the website. The code helps me figure out what blog post you are commenting on, as well as if its a reply to someone or a standalone comment. ✯ Any comments that are clearly off-topic (such as asking when my commissions will open on a blog post about me reflecting upon the past year or something) will not be added to the website. Comments don't have to always 100% relate to the blog post at hand, but just use your common sense. ✯ Anyone who sends a comment that is clearly spam, trolling, advertising etc will have their email blocked permanently (if it even makes it out of my spam filter in the first place). ✯ Please make sure to set some sort of unique username before commenting, if there are too many "Anonymous" or "Username" commenters then it gets quite confusing who is who and if certain comments are from different people or all the same person. ✯ To make sure your email can be correctly viewed by me and subsequently added to the website, I highly recommend sending a plain text email. Check out useplaintext.email for info if you don't know what this means. ✯ If you think you are following all of these rules and your submitted comment doesn't show up within a few days or so, get in contact with me through some other method (such as my discord), and I'll see if we can figure out and fix the issue.................................................................................
